Since 1998, assisted by his brother Mario (Mari-One) and by the Maltese multi-instrumentalist Aidan Zammit, he has given life to the group Mystic Diversions. Songs by Mystic Diversions have featured on many

high-profile chill-out and lounge compilations. In addition to new, original song material, the group by Francesco Puccioni (Mike Francis) also did covers of famous 70s and 80s songs like "Float On" (by The Floaters), and "A Warm Summer Night" (by Chic). The band is composed of members Francesko (Francesco Puccioni), Mari-One (Mari-One Puccioni), and Aidan Zammit. Additional musicians for live sets consist of Agostino Marangolo (drums), Fabio Pignatelli (bass), Marco Rinalduzzi (guitars), Giovanni Imparato (percussion and vocals), and Wendy Lewis & Laura Serra (backing vocals).

Mike Francis died aged 47 on January 30, 2009 of lung cancer in Rome.

Nel 1998 Mike fonda il gruppo Mystic Diversions assieme al fratello arrangiatore, compositore e ingegnere del suono Mario Puccioni ed al polistrumentista maltese Aidan Zammit, con essi pubblica gli album: "Crossing the liquid mirror" (2001), "Beneath another sky" (2002), "Colours" (2004),"From the distance" (2006), "Wave a little light" (2007) e "Angel soul" (2010); per questo progetto recupera il proprio nome di battesimo semplicemente modificato in "Francesko".

The Mystic Diversions project is the result of the musical sensibility of Francesko, a musician and composer from Florence, who is well-known for his past successes under the stage-name of Mike Francis.

The first album started out as a World Music project and became a fascinating journey into Ambient and Lounge, with audible influences from ethnic, latin and the world of RnB and Soul, all filtered through the taste and sensitivity of Francesco and the People he invited aboard.

I was surprised that some of the tracks have Mike Francis on background vocals too. So listen to Francesco's legacy. He maybe gone but his music lives on in all of us. I always enjoy listening to his music and I never get tired of it.

To all the Mike Francis fans all over the world who know little of this group, I hereby present to you the other side of Francesco. Please support this artist by buying their music.
